The Aces traveled to Penncrest to play a team that also stood at 3-1 in the Central League. The Lions boasted an offense that scored 15 goals in their first 6 games, while LM's defense only surrendered 2 in their first 8 contests. It promised to be an interesting battle.
On this day, however, it was the offense beating the defense as Penncrest scored 3 goals to upset the 7th ranked Aces 3-0. This loss knocked LM out of a tie for 2nd place in the Central League race, and if they want to successfully defend their Central League title they would need to roll the tables the rest of the way and hope for some help. Radnor defeated Haverford to stay on top at 5-0, while both Conestoga & Springfield, along with Penncrest, also won to keep ahead of the Aces.
Next up LM hosts Marple Newtown tomorrow at 10 AM on the turf at Arnold Field in another key Central League game.
