With summer in full swing, another Aces' soccer season is right around the corner. Pre-season practice, always a favorite of all LM Soccer Alumni, begins on August 15th. Who could ever forget those 90 degree two-a-days.
LM graduated 11 seniors from last year's squad, so coach Severini & his coaching staff will be looking to last year's juniors & sophomores to take over the leadership roles for the youthful Aces. And, with a 10-3-3 JV & an undefeated Freshman team feeding the program, it promises to be an exciting season. As you'll notice I have put the new schedule up on the blog, which features 4 night games. All of LM's home games will be played on the turf at Arnold Field.
Another addition to the blog is that I have posted all the LM Soccer
Records that usually appeared on the LMSAA website. It's much easier to
keep them updated on my blog. If you go to the "archives" you'll find
them all listed separately under "2016" "March". Just click on the one
you want to view.
You'll also notice on the schedule that the weekend of October 15th is Lower Merion Soccer Alumni Weekend, which features our 12th annual Steve Fountain Memorial Golf Event on Friday, October 14th, at Loch Nairn Golf Club @ 1 PM, the current Aces taking on West Chester Rustin at 10 AM on the turf at Arnold Field on Saturday, October 15th, and the LM Soccer Alumni Team vs. Haverford H.S. Alumni on that same Saturday, at noon, also on the turf at Arnold. More details to follow.
