Yesterday afternoon #10 seed Wissahicken defeated #24 Garnet Valley 2-0 in the 1st round of the District One Playoffs, and tomorrow afternoon at 3 PM will play the #7 seeded Aces on the turf at Arnold Field. Should LM beat Wissahickon they would move into the quarter-finals on Saturday and face the winner of #2 seed W.C. Henderson/#15 seed Penn Wood.
After their 1st round bye, #1 seed Conestoga will take on #17 Abington, a 2-0 winner against Downtown West. The two other Central League teams (Haverford H.S. & Penncrest) both lost their 1st round games. There are 3 other C.L. teams playing in the "AAA" division playoffs (Marple, Strath Haven, & Radnor).
